USE
The equipment is used for the rewinding and longitudinal cutting of planar foam foils for short-laps or bands of specified widths. It consists of a rewinding part, longitudinal cutting part, and 3" EU cores winding part.
FUNCTION
The machine may be operated in the manual or automatic mode. In the manual operation mode, it is possible to operate individual functions of the machine in an arbitrary order. The speed of the cutting roller is set by steps within the range of 10 ÷ 30 m.min-1 or continuously by means of a potentiometer on the control panel. The momentary value of the speed is displayed on the digital indicating device. After turning on the motor of the winding shaft, its speed is controlled from the position of the dancer roller depending on the speed of the cutting roller and winding diameter of the winding point. The system therefore facilitates the winding by a constant pulling force the intensity of which is set by the position of the weight on the arm of the dancer roller. The unwinding pulling force can be adjusted by steps using the unwinding motor. The length of the rewound foil is picked up by means of an incremental sensor and displayed on the counter with the required length preselection. In the automatic operation mode, all the activities of the machine are turned on according to the pre-set parameters after pressing down the RUN button.
OPERATION
The unwinding and winding shafts are for the purpose of easy operation one-side – overhung fastened with flanges to drive units. The unwinding shaft is pneumatic, pressurised without a filling gun. The winding shaft is a mechanical strip shaft controlled by the operating personnel. With respect to the one-side fastening of both shafts, the permissible maximum weight of rolls is 25 kg. The cutting disc units are width-adjustable in the whole width on dovetails; they are arranged together in the cutting by pressure air. Their number can be increased any time, e.g. for edge cutting or increasing the number of cuts. The foam foil cutting is realised on the basis of the extrusion principle, i.e. the disc cutter is pressed with an optional pressure to a foil-wrapped lower driven roller with a hard ground surface. The termination of windings, including the exchange of rolls, is manual and performed by the operating personnel when the machine is stopped.
ADVANTAGES
The equipment works in a wide range of adjustable parameters as regards the width and thickness of the processed material. The up-to-date well-proven units ensuring high reliability are used for the machine drive and control. The equipment can be used also for other types of material while observing a maximum weight of rolls of 25 kg.
