USE

The equipment is used for winding planar plastic materials, especially PE and PP foils, by means of a contact method on a winding shaft with ø 76 x 10 cores with a working width of 1,500 mm at the maximum. The winding machine works in the automatic working cycle. The maximum working width of the machine can be adjusted according to individual requirements of customers.

FUNCTION

The winding cycle proceeds automatically depending on the required length of the wound foil. The winding on the machine is performed at a constant speed, with a constant winding down pressure in the contact roller, and by a constant pulling force in the foil. The required length of the foil and the maximum discharge speed can be preselected on the control system panel.

The working cycle description:

After feeding the material through guiding and spreading rollers, the operating personnel insert the winding shaft with a core into loading arms. After pressing the working cycle start button, the winding shaft is automatically moved to the main winding point. The wound roll is here pressed down to the contact roller by a constant force using handling arms.

The operating personnel insert a new shaft with a core into the loading arms. Upon winding the preselected number of meters, a new shaft is automatically moved to an auxiliary winding position and the material is cross-wise divided, which is followed by the winding of the material on a new shaft and moving of the wound roll by the handling arms to the end position where it is removed from the handling arms by means of a lifting mechanism. The handling arms are returned to the winding position near the contact roller. A newly wound roll is moved to the working position and the whole cycle is repeated until the machine stopping.

ADVANTAGES

Fully automatic operation in the course of which the operating personnel only prepare new shafts with cores, feed them into the machine, and collect the wound rolls. Easy feeding of the required length of the winding and possible monitoring of a momentary wound length on the control system display unit. It is possible to intervene manually in the cycle before reaching the required length by dividing the material, after which the winding cycle starts anew.
