USE
The equipment is used for winding plastic tubes or rods on spools in a continuous production or rewinding.
FUNCTION
The winder is formed by three basic functional parts. One part is designed for handling spools and facilitates their lifting to the working position or lowering to the handling position. It is operated using a pneumatic cylinder, namely with buttons on the switchboard or a switch pedal situated in the operating position. The other part ensures the spool driving in the winding process. It consists of an asynchronous electric motor operated with a vector frequency converter and a mechanism used for fastening the central shaft of the spool. The third enables the automatic laying of wound products in individual layers so that turns bear against each other closely. The used drive unit ensures the material winding by a constant pulling force by means of changing a torque moment of the motor depending on an increased diameter of lap. The required pulling force is entered using a potentiometer on the switchboard panel. After entering the produced diameter of tubes, the master computer controls the speed of the feeding of the laying equipment on the basis of an instantaneous circumferential speed of the spool and a tube diameter entered. Possible corrections of feeding speed can be performed by the operating personnel using buttons – travel stopping or acceleration for a period for which the button is held pressed down. This function is used especially in loading a new spool.
ADVANTAGES
The winding machines ensure the material winding by a constant pulling force for the whole period of winding. It ensures equal winding layers in a wide range of the size of spools and diameter of tubes. It also facilitates easy handling of full spools.
