USE

The equipment is used for splitting of extruded PE, PP, PA and TPE profiles and pipes into preset lengths directly during run of the extruding line.

FUNCTION

The equipment consists of a rotary knife driven by a servomotor. The servomotor control system allows measurement of the preset length of the cut. This length can be preset on the machine control display. There is also optional external control from the foregoing section of the extruding line. Protection of the knife, input and output parts of the machine by covers with safety switches provide high safety of the operators. Geometric shape of the chopping knife that is driven by a servomotor guarantees high quality of chopping. Function of electronic cam allows 10 chops per second at speed of the profile 12m/min. For longer portions of individual chops there is provided control of the following unloading conveyor. Delivery of the equipment may also include pre-heating of the chopped material to prevent shattering.

ADVANTAGES

Use of a servomotor together with PLC numerical control provide high reliability, aped and accuracy of length of the chopped material.
