USE

The equipment is used for checks of quality of joints of rubber-coated skeleton cords of tyres.

FUNCTION

The equipment consists of jaws for clamping of a 76m wide and max. 2.200mm long sample. After its clamping using pneumatically controlled blades the sample can be extended by 260% using motor-driven screws. The rate of extension can be changed using PLC control on the control panel. Accuracy of setting and reproducibility is provided by use of an incremental sensor. The motor of extension is controlled by an electronic control for smooth start. For increased safety the machine is equipped with a two-hand control of individual functions. After extension of the sample this is held in extended position for a preset time and the operator exposes the joint using a hot knife that can be include din delivery. Then the operator inspects visually quality of the joint. The machine can be equipped with a source of compressed air for pneumatic valves. The test can also be performed in automatic mode when all operations are performed in proper sequence using pushbuttons of two-hand control device.
