USE:

The conveyor with the detection of metal parts is used for feeding rubber mixture bands to screw extruders. It ensures the continuity of feeding the band to the extrusion machine feeding hopper in combination with the detection of metal parts contained in bands, protecting thus the functional parts of the machine.

FUNCTION

The equipment collects the band of mixture from transport pallets, conveys the stretched band through a monitoring field of the detector of metals and forms a compensation loop in front of a roller track to the filling hole of the extrusion machine roller. On the basis of the signal detecting the presence of metal particles in a band, the band movement is immediately stopped for the period required for removing defective parts of the band. For the period of such removal performed by the operating personnel, the extrusion machine is continuously fed from the compensation loop.
